At the Hoy/Scott Watershed Society volunteers run every aspect of the hatchery with the assistance of the DFO and the City of Coquitlam.

Examples are:  daily feeding in the rearing pond, operating the salmon hatchery as well as tree planting, invasive plant removal, trail cleanup.

We  host two special events each year, these are :

 Salmon Come Home   and    Salmon Leave Home.

How to become a volunteer?

If you would like to become a volunteer with the Hoy/Scot creek watershed society all you need to do is:

  Attend one of our monthly meetings at Pinetree Community Centre in Coquitlam, held the third Wednesday of every month at 7pm except for July, August, and December.
